1. Use closed coolant correctly

Most modern diesel engines use a closed cooling system. The radiator cap is sealed and an expansion tank is added. When the engine is working, the coolant vapor enters the expansion tank and flows back to the radiator after cooling, which can prevent a large amount of coolant evaporation loss and increase the boiling point of the coolant. The cooling system should use high-quality coolant with corrosion resistance, anti-boiling, anti-freezing and anti-scaling, and must be sealed during use to achieve the effect.

2. Keep the outside and inside of the coolant clean
This is one of the important conditions for improving the heat dissipation efficiency. When the outside of the radiator is stained with mud, oil or the heat sink is deformed due to collision, it will affect the passage of wind, the heat dissipation effect of the radiator will deteriorate, and the coolant temperature will be too high. Therefore, if the generator set radiator is found to have this situation, it should be cleaned or repaired in time. In addition, when scale, mud or oil accumulates in the cooling water tank of the generator set, it will affect the heat transfer of the coolant. 3. Keep the fan belt tension moderate

If the fan belt is too loose, the water pump speed will be too low, affecting the circulation of the coolant and accelerating the wear of the belt. But if the belt is too tight, it will cause the water pump bearing to wear. In addition, the belt should not be stained with oil. Therefore, the tension of the fan belt should be checked and adjusted regularly.
